Is it me or just the YouTube boom has just explodes within Malaysian’s advertising agencies? For the past 2 month, there is already 2 contest on user generated content, not text, not images, but VIDEOS. The time has changed.

Keri Smith – Simple things hold the secret.
It’s amusing to see how objects or images that ties closely to our life can touch us easily. That goes to this illustrator that has a certain human touch in his work. Why do I say so? Look at the screenshot below which, of course, a chart. Period chart to be exact. I guess this illustrator does always question on why can’t life be fun and flexible?
Should be a good use. Of course, over the flickr pool, Keri Smith always has a theme weekly on what to discuss related to illustration.
But it is sure wicked when she came out with 100 Ideas on what to do with our own life, which you’ll have to cut all the 100 boxes and select one of it daily. Or perhaps, every hour.
She even put up a guide on how to start as an illustrator. Thanks tuckloong.

Just stumbled across this site recently, which revolves around the concept of tagging, be it keywords or type of content you are providing (Much or less link exchange portal). But there’s a catch if you display a link back to Tag Society, you’ll earn ‘points’ which will accumulate overtime and gain you better visibility within the site. Give it a run.

Slick motion graphic piece from them. A much more refined piece compared to the christmas greeting. Tell me what you think about it. Perhaps what really make this piece ticks is the elements used is very tight. Beautiful flowers and mood. Very HUE.

After a lengthy period of beta testing, the official build of Adobe Lightroom is out. It’s similar to Picasa which manages your picture, but with an extension towards Photoshop. I’ve tried the beta built, which seems, not bad. But since i’m not a hardcore photograper, i’ll just settle with Picasa which already caters too much for me.

Made out of many thin, flat chair-shaped outlines joined together by some kind of accordion style trickery, this chair can collapse down into a dictionary-think chunk or can be spread on end. P.s. – creative yet functional. Reminds me of the old ‘colourful bouncy spring’ that we can get from Pasar Malam in Malaysia.

Pune-based Seagull, a leading advertising agency, has won the 1st prize at the Tag Media in-store network contest. This contest invited entries from all over the country from Advertising Agencies, Design firms, and students to submit Public Service announcements for any cause that they strongly support. Seagull’s entry was a film on Preventing Polio. The winning ads are being aired on the Tag Media Network from 10th January for a month. The Tag Media Network is India’s first National In-store television network with a current reach of over 5 million viewers through their tie-up with National Supermarket chains – Spencers, Foodworld and Fabmall.
