Through the random stumbling of websites last week, I came across this artist/illustrator with his beautiful flickr set. Most of his work are compromises picture montage with vector illustrations. No-Surprises are his official site. An italian? With his photoblog. Worthy note. DeviantID.

Built and established more than 70 years ago in Singapore, despite having a strong brand pushing on breweries, they have been continously also providing a platform for artists and designers alike to showcase their talent and works.

Running for 2 years now, Tiger Translate aimed to push creative boundaries by calling for design or artwork submissions in any form, under a theme every time. Though the submission are closed for now with the last one was MERGE, the upcoming theme is PING PONG. Thanks Sweii for the tips.

“The hardest part of design, especially consumer electronics,” says Norman, “is keeping features out.” Simplicity, he says, is in itself a product differentiator, and pursuing it can lead to innovation.

“Attractive things work better,” says Don Norman, who was vice president of advanced technology at Apple from 1993 to 1998. “When you wash and wax a car, it drives better, doesn’t it? Or at least feels like it does.”
