The Long Weekend video
Bamboo Vase – three layers of cased handblown matte glass sprout exotic shapes, passionate colors. White interiors contrast. A series that bring you one step nearer to the nature. Not like normal wooden material, matte glass surface some of give people a semi transparent feeling. Through visual appearance it makes me feel so cool and comfortable.

Chinese Contemporary’s Beijing gallery is dedicated to showing the work of the Chinese avant garde post-1989. It has an exhibition programme which shows a complete spectrum of media from paintings to photos, performances, ink on paper and videos. The gallery specialises in artists living and working in mainland China because it believes these artists are closely in tune with the considerable changes their country is undergoing and which is reflected in their art. It is a world historical situation where a communist government reigns over a vibrant market economy, providing rich ground for artistic creation.

World Map, constructed from 2000 layers of cloth cut into components, is installed as part of the Biennale of Sydney.
The work, by the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, is designed to be extremely labour intensive to install, hinting at China’s status as a source of cheap workers for the fabric industry. Read it more from www.smh.com.au.

Jon had his first 3d doodle sculpture, is now available from the shop. Look around for some metal badges if you like to. On the site you’ll find images of his first set of toys, the Burgermenos Egg Qees. A doodle wall from a show at the RCA. And pictures of a giant bean-bag bunny called Bunny Flop.
Dordles
Not sketches, barely a design. He called it Dordles. Funny, hilarious yet making sense at some times and not at all times though. But I’m liking his continuous effort in doing the same thing he believes in. Lot of inspiration to be heard from this guy.
And if have not heard of it yet, del.icio.us is having their whole site revamped into Delicious.com. Of course, this isn’t going to make most of the tech-savvy user happy at all since they are taking out the innovative domain name, which would cause a lot of trouble for mainstream user. I mean, you wouldn’t skip mistyping the domain less than 1 time per day. But of course being such a great useful service, it’s time for this service to shed some public or more wide exposure. Good move.
